Coastal Paintings

I live on the South Coast, on the border between Dorset and Hampshire and a few minutes walk from the sea. So it's not surprising that many of my paintings are coastal subjects.

Some were painted plein air (outside in front of the subject), others were finished in the studio or painted from sketches or photographs there. I use watercolours outdoors - but recently I've been working in acrylics and in oils using a pochade box. Most of these paintings are of this area, with some from recent trips abroad.

My favourite place to paint is Keyhaven, a quiet backwater not far from my home. I have put paintings from there all together in a separate series.
